Jenny Roberts
James Kendall was the first English colonist executed in the New World in 1608 at the Jamestown settlement.

The Mayflower first landfall was in 1620. It cannot therefore be Kendall in 1608.

Kendall was executed in Jamestown --- not in New England --- but thanks for your answer.

No ,1608 is mentioned in Jenny's answer not 1630. And I checked her source.Unless you have a source who claims otherwise.

I know, Mozart, I have a different execution performed in New England 10 years after the Mayflower landed.

Mozart, her question asked for someone hanged in New England. You are giving her someone from the New World. Jamestown is in Virginia, some 600 miles to the southwest of New England..

So Kendall was wrong all along.....that's what I've trying to say for 2 hours. Roll Eyes But it was never denied. She should have said ..."No it's not Kendall". I need a vodka!

Bingo (an old Catholic expression),mozart!
You got my guy and my source. Thought that it was an interesting story -- his kid almost blew up the Mayflower.

And, DG, you know that you'll join him whether it's cold or not as long as mozart's (or anyone's) buying.
