Mt. Elbrus is also the highest point in the Caucasus mountains in northern Georgia, a range of almost 1,000 miles long.

Mt Elbrus is the highest point in Europe. It is part of the Caucasus Main range which is considered to be the border between Europe (to the North) and Asisa (to the South).
