About this date in the 1840s the First British Pillar Box (Postbox /mailbox)was erected...Where? (and its in an Unusual part of Britain)
And as a Bonus who was behind the Experiment? (famous author)
And if you can find it the 2nd one was installed where?

OK here I am back again, looking for more rejection bedstor Big Grin

So, I'm thinking that you are thinking of the first pillar box on mainland Britain ..which would have been the second if you if you don't count the 7 in the Channel Isles Wink

And then that would have been in Botchergate, Carlisle
