Pepsi-Cola was invented in North Carolina. The historian was on the radio recently, and claims that the pepsin story, most commonly heard, is not accurate. His favorite version is that an Episcopal church was across the street from Bradham's store, and that Pepsi-Cola is an anagram of Episcopal.
