Gut check time...

Question:
How will your taxes be impacted by the 2008 United States Presidential election?

Choices:
My taxes will be the same regardless of the outcome
I will pay more in taxes if Obama is elected President
I will pay more in taxes if McCain is elected President

Since it is Congress which writes the tax laws, and presidents only submit budgets which are subject to change, I don't see much of a difference as to who lives in the Whiite House. The Federal Government believes what we make belongs to them, and they allow us to keep what they wish.

I think that some of the government programs necessary will probably raise my taxes at least a little. Due to my health situation, I don't earn very much, so I think the increase will be slight.

I do support Obama because I believe that change in Washington is essential.

I think more financially secure people will pay more in taxes if we do stop borrowing so much of our budget needs from outside our borders.

My vote is: I will likely pay more taxes regardless of who becomes president. The only difference is which new or different or higher taxes I am paying.
