Hello all. I am definitely a newbie so please be forgiving and patient with me. =)
I just read something about being able to freeze tomatoes until you need to use them. Can anyone give me opinions on this? Is it as simple as slicing the tomatoes, putting them into a zip-bag, and then into the freezer? Or is there something that I need to make sure to do before the tomatoes get frozen??
I would welcome any tips or recipes that you would like to pass on. Thanks in advance for your help. _______________________________________

Raw tomatoes should be washed and dipped in boiling water just long enough to loosen the skins...about 30 seconds or so. Remove, core and peel. Then you can freeze them either whole or in pieces. When placing them in a container, make sure to leave an inch head space.
This site site will walk you through step by step. Actually adds a little more than what I mentioned above. AND it has pictures! Gotta love that Big Grin
