(no exact recipe for it, ya just gotta make the judgement yourself) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 11-13-03, 07:10 AM Sherasi I assume you use cooked rice? Or uncooked rice? Instant or Regular?
11-13-03, 08:39 AM gojenni714 And what type of oil Ron? I love fried rice, but have never been able to make it taste authentic. I know there's got to be a secret ingredient! Big Grin
11-14-03, 02:11 AM SeattleRon it's cooked rice. you just put the oil in the pan. Dump the rice in there with the garlic. Mix it around for about 5 minutes. The oil is your regular everyday oil. Thats authentic fried rice.
11-14-03, 09:41 AM gojenni714 Confused
I'm gonna guess any type of oil then, huh Ron? There's no 'regular everyday oil'. I'm thinking you're probably using just plain ol' vegetable oil. I think I'll experiment and see what tastes best. I have a few garlic infused oils. I'll bet they would make a yummy rice.
04-19-04, 02:48 AM SeattleRon my mama used olive oil. what also goes good with the fried rice is you put some soy sauce and e regular lemon on it. or If you can find an oriental store some calamansi lemon also.
Then you fry up some scrambled eggs, and/or some tinapa. In America it's a small fried fish. very good with all that.
