In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter; add seasoned salt, cabbage, and onion. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir frequently. Blend vinegar and sugar; add to cabbage mixture. Stir gently to blend; cook cabbage 5 minutes longer.

11-18-03, 08:31 PM Nechama I do not have an exact recipe and mine varies every time. I will usually fry some onions and then add cabbage and maccaroni near the end. I spice it up with salt, garlic, and oil. I would say add the ingredients based on taste.

1 head cabbage, chopped 12 ounces bacon 1/2 cup chopped onion granulated garlic or garlic powder salt and pepper 1 red bell pepper, diced small dash Worcestershire sauce
Fry bacon to a crisp and set aside to drain on paper towel. Add onion, pepper, and cabbage to the bacon drippings. Saute until soft. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with garlic generously. Add salt and pepper according to taste. Crumbled bacon and sprinkle over cabbage mixture. Serve.
