Telling someone in real life would probably be more beneficial than telling us. We can give you support and guidance, but we can't really and truely give you direct help and assistance as a person talking to you could.

Good luck to you and we are here to talk if you need us.

Glad that talking to people online has been so positive for you... I think you will find that people in real life can be just as great if you give them the opportunity.

Open up to some people and see what happens. Don't be surprised if there are some awkward times... it is a bit harder to talk face to face. I hope you do though because people that are with you can help more than virtual friends.

Good luck ! Smile

one piece of advice i can give, is dont freak out if they act weird around you for a while.

i had that happen after i told people i had rhumatoid arthritis; they kept treating me like i was going to have arms and stuff fall off if they touched me, and one person actually thought it was contagious, and avoided me for a while. Roll Eyes

the best thing is to tell them they can ask anything they want (if you are comfortable with answering things), and tell them that you are the same person they knew before you told them.
be paitent with people if they start being fidgity or just weird around you, they'll get over it and eventually treat you the same way as before.

Stephen...they don't intend to act weird around you, they just don't know how to deal with what you're going through or what to say.

I know what you're going through, and I really, really think it would be beneficial for you to talk to someone...your Pastor?

They can help...with the emotional part of it anyway, and may even be able to help put you in touch with other people suffering the same problems or with real help. The Church can sometimes open doors others can't.

We want to help...but we can only be emotional support. I want to see you getting some REAL help for your problems!

Most of them don't have the faintest clue about anything.
