Also, on the landing page (or the home page) of this site, there is things about adults with ADD and a quick bipolor disorder quiz. It's pretty interesting. Smile

Sam - I took Paxil once, but not for very long, so I don't remember much about it.

Now I am on Zoloft for the second time. I've been taking 50 mg for about 2 years. For me, it's a low dose. I still feel really depressed but my weight is a big reason, so I don't think more meds would make a difference right now (been there). But it does help keep me from feeling worse. Before I started it, I was ready to climb the walls and take someone with me! Mad (Now I just have a fit and get it over with! Big Grin )

The first time I took Zoloft was about 8 years ago. I think I was taking like 100-150 mg - a pretty high dose (in place of therapy Roll Eyes ). At first, I felt better. Then, because I was taking so much, my emotions became very narrowed. I rarely cried - that was OK. But I also lost all sentimental feeling. I got rid of things I really regret now. Frown (So if ya feel like cleaning house, make sure ya won't want it back! Wink )
But other than that, it's an OK med I guess. Smile

You made a good point too Tex. It's never a good idea to take meds without the aid of some therapy as well. Sometimes you may need to go up or down on the dose and you won't know it. By seeking therapy and having them prescribe it too you, they will know when and if it needs changed. They can do blood tests and all, plus just talking to you will tell them the things they need to know. It's never a good idea to just take these kinds of meds without talking to someone, at least about the meds.

I wasn't necessarily talking to Sammy or Tex, I know Sammy does what she needs to do, but was talking to anyone else that may read this. Smile

Sammy, sometimes it can take up to six weeks for you to feel the full affect of zoloft. You'll get there. Smile
