It is actually common for antidepressants to have that effect on sexual drive. I know that many physicians try to avoid this type of intervention for men specifically for this reason. Ask your physician for alternative meds that do not have as much effect on your sexual functioning, but will still assist with your anxiety/depression issues.

This is a common problem and I had that problem on Prozac. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin 150mg twice a day and it does not effect you sexually at all. It gives me energy and I feel much better. Some of the other effect you in the same way but everyone is different. I would call back an tell them that 50mg is not enough to make you feel better and it still is effecting you sexually. You might suggest Wellbutrin. My GYN is the one that finally suggested it. My doctor did not know what to do and wanted me to see a shrink. I did go to the shrink and she recommended the Wellbutrin also, she just double my dose. Good Luck. Keep calling them until they fix the problem.
