Has anyone here ever had any experience with the OTC supplement Seredyn? It contains several natural ingredients found to ease strees, social anxiety, and also insomia I think. I was just wondering if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences taking it, or if anyone knows someone who has. Thanks!

I suggest you consult with your doctor to find out if this drug would be right for you. I don't like how you can purchase a six month supply at one time. That suggests to me that it is something you will be taking for a long time. The pill will work in 15 minutes and lasts up to 8 hours. I see that the ingredient that works in 15 minutes is called L-theanine. This is an amino acid found in green tea. Doesn't sound so bad right? It also contains Valerian. Valerian is not addictive or habit-forming when taken in recommended doses. How much is too much? This is used in conjunction with the Passion Flower. Seredyn should not be considered a substitute for FDA-approved medication or professional medical treatment. Seriously, talk to your doctor and see what he/she thinks.

More on Seredyn (little easier to understand)

Keep in mind that both sites are trying to sell you the drug so it may be biased to how wonderful it really is. Even though it is "natural", there still is problems with it.

The most common side effects include drowsiness, fatigue, stomach upset, and headache.

Seredyn also may cause mild drowsiness. Use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery until you are familiar with the effects of Seredyn.

Don't you love how these natural remedies throw in the word MAY to cover themselves? This MAY cause headaches. This MAY cause drowsiness. It is not addictive IF used properly. When taking as directed, SEREDYN is not addictive or habit-forming. They do suggest you wean yourself off of them.

If you wish to stop taking SEREDYN after taking the supplement daily for more than one month, we recommend that you gradually taper down your dose over 7-21 days.

Remember: If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.
