Well, I would def. NOT recommend it. Talk to the person who prescribed it to you, but it could be dangerous and could reverse the effects of the meds that your taking. Please don't do it.

I am bipolar and take lots of antidepressants and stuff. I used to drink pretty regularly on them (but no more than 2 per day) and the only thing that happened with me is I got hallucinations, which are scary to the max. I used to hallucinate that there was a cat walking across me in the dark. Also, one night I heard someone coming up the stairs (I was alone in the house) and the next thing, I felt a hand laid on my leg. Needless to say, I came up screaming. My late husband took lots of meds and drank all the time. In 2000 he ran his truck off the road and hit a tree. No one knows what caused it, but I no longer drink. roll eyes roll eyes roll eyes

It all depends on the kind of medication you are having. One of the problems with alcohol is that is cuts the effect of the medication so, for example if you are taking some antibiotic it´s like you never had nothing and it could even make the bugs grow stronger!
It depends ont the chemical component of the medicine you may be taking...

You have to ask your pharmacist or doctor about medications and alcohol. Sorry, but I have to ask you this. Do you have a drinking problem?

Ask your Doctor about that pint. Recent research has revealed that some (Not to the point of getting drug, but a glass or two) of low alcoholic drinks are beneficial to the body.

Depending on the medication you may be able to slip off to the local pub for a pint once in a while.

Cheers

Tanman you really need to check with your doctor because for instant some medications are metabolized in the liver so if you drink a lot which effects the liver it could harm you!
Ask your doctor this question. You can probably just call and ask the nurse to ask him/her so you don't have to come in.
Good Luck!
