My life has recently done just that. Went very bad. It is hard to cope with things when you are not used to having to do that. somtimes I think death would be easier to deal with that what I am. I dont know how other people do it but, good friends and talking have been a major help to me during this time, tho, It still isn't at all easy.

a good dose of prayer and a lot of humor. That's what got me through cancer!(I was also blessed with a supportive family and church family)

Samantha, going through it too!
Let's see, what to do. Well, first you cry. Then you dry your eyes, have a stern talking to yourself, and pick yourself up and get on with things. It's not easy and most of the times you feel like you are walking around in a daze. But as much as we hate it, reality does not go away and must be faced. You just need to have something to go home to once you've faced reality. For some it's music. For others it's television. For me it's having a strong circle of friends that I know I can talk to. They let me ramble, repeat myself, or just rant. They offer no suggestions. They are just their to listen to me and to let me solve the problem.
Also, going back to old hobbies are exciting. I've started painting after 20 years and gotta tell you, it's a natural high and for a few hours my mind is not occupied with troubles.
Good luck and if you need to talk - you can IM me!

Yes, first the cry. Then I discuss it with my friends and ask for their support. Then I have a talk with God. I say: "God, you see what is going on down here? I really think you should look into it and see if there is a remedy for this situation. I would really appreciate it. Thanking you in advance."

Judy

Then I leave it up to him. It's worked every single time so far.

BJ,
i think if you/me were on our deathbeds we would quickly give anything, everything, all our money for the opportunity to relive some of our 'bad' days.

Just remember that God never gives us more than we can handle. Sometimes it takes bad times to help us appreciate the good things in life. Hang in there.

I have been through so many BAD days that I don't even look at them as bad anymore......Death still gets to me, and when I am faced with it..I do the only thing I can do....tuck my tail between my legs and cry, and when finally the crying is over, I was my face and look onward and upward. Praying to God I have the strength to make it through the "next time".

(first and formost GREAT TO SEE YOU!!!!!)

I think when I am on my death bed the last thing I will want to relive are the bad times....I might sell my soul to see something as precious as my childrens smile, but I doubt I will want to remember ANY bad moments.

When things get too overwhelming I take a pen and piece of paper and start writing.I write down all my feelings not holding back at all. If someone really upsets me I sit down and write the nastiest hateful letter and tell them exactly how I feel and what they did to make me upset. It makes me feel better just to write everything down and get it out of my system.(I always make sure I tear it up so nobody sees it. smile )

If I were on my death bed, I would want to just leave, not relive my life. Death means going to a better place to me, so I see no reason to stick around if my number is picked. Even being as young as I am, I dont see the need to stay any longer than God sees fit! So, on my death bed, no, i would not quickly give "everything" to relive a bad day, speak for yourself! big grin razz

Every time I feel something creak that used to be ok, I say this little mantra: I'm 50. In twenty years' time I'll be 70. And I'll think to myself "God, I wish I were 50 again ..." smile

I asked a friend about your question:

She said when the going gets tough...

THE TOUGH GO SHOPPING! smile

Shopping always makes me feel better. (After I write everything down like I said before) cool

When I feel stressed, I pretend like I’m starting over. Forget every bad thing that’s happened and focus on the positive. Or I'll try not to focus so much on what I’m stressing over. Then continue forward learning from the mistake. Call it denial but it helps.

This past weekend my life took a turn for the worse. Once again my well went dry on a Saturday. I had no running water! I got mad, I fussed, I calmed down.

Once I collected my thoughts, I realized it could have been much worse. All the dishes were washed, I had bathed, had food (leftovers) in the frig, had 4 gallons of potable water, and an invite to bathe at a friends house if I needed to.

There is a silver lining to every cloud, and I am happy that I am always able to find it.

When I had a tough time recently I spent the time crying and in bed. The thing that helped me getting through it was talking to my family, my friends (boy were my phone bills high), and talking to the people here on answerpool. Thanks you everyone.

When I get stressed, I like to take a nice drive in the country (after I cool down to the point I'm not a danger to myself or other drivers. smile)
It seems to be a balm to my soul to see the rolling hills...........the deer by streams in this area.....and this time of year, the leaves are turning all their different colors. And, in the distance, depending on where I go, the mountains, which will soon be covered with snow, add to the beauty of nature around me. Ahhh, I'm getting relaxed already, after fixing the $#!@^^$ kitchen sink a few minutes ago!!!!!!
