Is there a friendly and supportive message board anywhere on the web for the family or loved ones of people with bi-polar disorder? My son has bi-polar. It is not a very easy thing to cope with. I grew up with 1 parent and a sibling with the disorder, but I never thought that it would manifest itself in my son as a teenager. I think it may be very important that I get some support for myself soon, because to tell you the truth, I am very worn down emotionally and physically. I support my son 100% but it is really starting to take it's toll on me.

Don't you think a local support group in your commumity would be more productive for you? I am not so sure you can get the support you need from an online group. But if you want to try it, there is DBSA Org which is Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Organization. They offer support groups both online and off.
