I went to College in Kirkland, Wa close to Seattle. Now, I'm married and live on the other side of the mountain near Spokane, Wa. It's dry and dusty over here and trees are only around the towns and homes. We get all four seasons and winter seems the longest. Over in Seattle there are trees galore! It's green every where. If you are needing something to help you and your friend get through the winter months, get involved with an outreach to the homeless on 1st Street. There are plenty of churches in your area. Check out the Seattle Times newspaper and see what you can get involved with. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two holidays that poeple need the help. Food deliveries to the home-bound, there are endless opportunities to lend a hand and help a stranger in need! Be a blessing!
