There is plenty of proof that a lack of sunshine an effct peoples moods. I have noticed it in my own life during rainy spells. Find some activities that you and your boyfriend really enjoy, then DO them! Sometimes just our inactivity during dreary spells causes us some level of deprecion. Maybe join a bowling league or something. Just get out and do stuff!!

I find just the opposite with me. I love when it rains!!! But of course, I don't live in Seattle, I live in Los Angeles, and it doesn't rain much here!

Stacy- I think you should try to see the brighter side of life. The rain's water is what gives life to the planet, and what sustains us.

I went to College in Kirkland, Wa close to Seattle. Now, I'm married and live on the other side of the mountain near Spokane, Wa.
It's dry and dusty over here and trees are only around the towns and homes. We get all four seasons and winter seems the longest.
Over in Seattle there are trees galore! It's green every where.
If you are needing something to help you and your friend get through the winter months, get involved with an outreach to the homeless on 1st Street. There are plenty of churches in your area. Check out the Seattle Times newspaper and see what you can get involved with.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two holidays that poeple need the help. Food deliveries to the home-bound, there are endless opportunities to lend a hand and help a stranger in need!
Be a blessing! smile smile smile

Stacy, come on up to Juneau, you want to see gray all year 'round. Be happy in Seattle. You can always DRIVE south to Arizona, if you wish to.

Stacy, the light is the way to go. However, if you don't want to spend the money, you can achieve the same effect by going outdoors for 20 minutes each day.

It may be grey, but there's still sunlight getting through, otherwise it would be dark, right?
