But latley I just feel really really really ugly. Ánd fat. This is so wierd for me. I'm usually the most confident person you'll ever meet. But for the past month or so, it's completly the oppisite. My confidence, which used to be at 100(not in the concieted way, just really confident), is now down to 0. Frown

I know I'm probably not that ugly, but I don't know, that's just the way I feel. It sucks. I hate hating myself, I never used to be like this, it came out of nowhere. Do you think it's just teenage hormones kicking on? This feeling of self loathing really bites. I wish I could feel the way I did before. Any ideas?

Maybe you are just bored. School will be starting soon and that is probably depressing you too. LOL It sounds like you need some fun in your life. Call up one of your friends and make plans to do something cool before summer is over. If you are just sitting in your house doing nothing it is easy to get depressed fast. Are you reading those beauty magazines with all the flat tummy and long haired girls? (I hate those) Don't compare yourself to anyone. You are beautiful! Go up to the mall and try on some of the perfume. They give free makeovers. Big Grin (I got one before.. it was cool) Go to a salon and get your toes painted with some rhinestones or airbrushing.Get a really funny movie and just chill out and laugh! Hang out at the mall. Call a friend you haven't talked to in a while. When you are having fun you won't have time to think about what is depressing you. Have some fun! It is your summer. Make the most of it. Smile

P.S. You are beautiful! Inside and out! Smile

I don't know if the weather has been as weird out west as it is here, but that might have something to do with it. I know that during the summer when it's hot and muggy and gross I just feel gross, too.
Definitely do something to treat yourself, like Clare said. And don't worry. Whether it's the weather or hormones, it'll pass. Just remember to breathe.

OMG clare youre completly right. Thats probably exactly it. I used to do those things all the time. I havent been around my friends for an entire month. Ive been around no one but my mom, my sister, and her godmother. Guess why? Because Im stuck in Germany in this huge house all day, with no friends, no one to hang out with, no one to talk to (except of course for you guys), and this computer and all my forums have become my life. The other day the keyboard was down for abouttwo hurs and I went stir crazy and threw the mouse across the room. T&hen the mouse didn't work for two hours. Roll Eyes I miss my friends, this is a nice place, Ive seen lots of new places when we do go out, but I want to go back home! Back home I spend almost ever single day with my friends, and we always have the best time. I am not used to this.

Sorry about being such a whining b****. I know alot of people would give thier left foot to be spending two months in a forgeign country.

Hi Yelena,

Ask if there is someone who can take you out, around the city and countryside to do some exploring. Grab a camera and plan an album of your visit. Visit some shops, (malls there?), treat yourself to a few nice souvenir's, something different that you wouldn't find at home.

Hope you are able to climb out of this depression and enjoy the rest of your time there. Such an experience must be enjoyed Hon.

You figured out your own issue Yelena, you're out of your element and miss your regular life.

How much longer are you going to be travelling through Europe? I know it's rough, but try to make the best of it if you can. Are you near any cities where you can get out and enjoy the culutre a little? I'm sure it's not easy being a teenager stuck with your mom and your siblings. I remember those summer trips all too well.

Hang in their girl, you'll be back in La-La land before you know it! Besides, the weather has been hot and muggy here too, so you're not missing much!

Maybe you can go shopping and buy some new cool wardrobe to bring back from Europe. You'll be the fashion trendsetter the moment you step off that plane into LAX!

Hang tough Yelena, the teenage years can be such a bore when you're forced to go places and do stuff that you don't feel like doing.

We've all been in your shoes. Have a safe trip and count to 10 when you feel like you're ready to blow! Big Grin

Yelena, you are right. I would trade you places in a minute. But, I'm probably a lot older than you. Young people need to be with their friends. I imagine it does get lonely for you. Make the best of it is all I can really say. Stay busy with some interesting things while you are away. You will have so much to share when you get home!
