I am glad you are feeling better.

Just take it one day at a time, one minute at a time. Things will work out, give it time. Smile

Yes, thats my plan, minute by minute if need be. I also found out this morning, that I'll be getting glasses too, for Presbyopia. This doesnt bother me though, glasses are the least of my problems. My eyes are still slightly dilated, but clearing rapidly. More later!

It's "playing the trombone," Georgia, unless you are talking about something else. In my neighborhood, some with short arm syndrome never picks up a check or buys a drink for others; he has "short arms and deep pockets."

You would know better than any of us Big Grin

Trumpet, trombone....trying to remember the line Bing Crosby used in "White Christmas"...knew he was playing some sort of instrument. Wink 'least you knew what I was referring to which in itself is a scary thought! lol

Short Arm Syndrome: You're arm is not long enough to hold a newspaper so that you can read it!

Hi again all, I had setback last night, what amounted to almost an emotional breakdown actually, to me anyway. The paranoia that I'd been having lately caused me to be up pacing around the living room, and really feeling like I needed to get out of this life. I ended up having a long talk with my wife, after I woke her up, and I think we have it straightened out now, as I seem to be feeling better. I guess there are no short fixes for this after all, LOL. Anyway, I go back to the doc this morning at 11, so I'm going to let him know about it, and see if I may need to get Welbutrin to try instead of Zoloft. Later!

Well, the doc says that Welbutrin would not be the best choice for me, and upped my Zoloft to 100 mg, which seems to be doing very well for me so far. I've been feeling better than I have in awhile the last few days. Hopefully things will get back to what should be "normal" for me soon.

Good for you!

Medications are not all the same with different names (which I am sure you know), another point is HOW the meds work. That is, one depression medication helps you using different mechanisms and have vary different side effects and actions.

That may be why the doctor didn't want to change the med you were on.

Also, some people require lower or higher doses depending on how their body adjusts to the medication.

For example, I can take over 100 mg Benadryl and not be phased (made sleepy at all). Some people can take 12.5 mg and it puts them out like a light for the next 12 hours.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Keep it up! Smile

Things are still going much better for me lately, I am on such an even keel, that I cant hardly get mad at all, in fact, my emotions are almost non-existent. I just stay in one similar mood all the time. I miss the emotions somewhat, especially the amorous ones, LOL, but there's enough there still to do the job, so to speak. Smile

Van, your doctor may be able to adjust the dose of the medication so that you can feel more emotions.

Its been awhile since I've visited this thread, so thought I'd do an update. I am still doing good on the meds, so that problem seems to have cleared up for the most part. Work is going ok, tho a little aggravating at times, like any job. The big news?
WE FOUND A HOUSE! I know some of you already know this, as we found it back in August, but I hadnt realized I had mentioned it in this thread till now, so thought I'd add that, LOL. Later all!

Hi all:

As some of you know, I am bipolar, also, diagnosed in 1992. I've been through a dozen types of medication. Most worked for about 18 months, then I had to change to something else. Some started working right away, and some took longer. Just now I am on the Zoloft generic, which is working now. Wellbutrin has sexual side effects and it gave me tremors in both hands. The first drug I took was lithium; it cut off all the mania and threw me into a deep depression, which I still fight.

Don't give up on your treatment. You may have to go through a dozen drugs, but there is help for all your symptoms out there. Go get it. A good therapist can be a great help.

May God bless all of you. I pray for you every day.
