i have this friend, right, and for no apparent reason, she wants to commit cuiside. why??? she has no reason to. i mean it! not depressed, no constant familly rows, no evil boyfriend, and she does exellent at her school work with even more friends at her side than i have (and i have loads of mates!). i can't stop her. i could if she tried to kill her self at school, but what about when she is at home? just tell me what i could do, please!! i'd hate to lose a good mate for no reason.

That is a difficult question to answer. You don't know what's going on in her head, only she does. Do you know her parents? I would talk with them privately about this. She needs some sort of help. Being a minor, her parents are the only ones that will be able to act on the situation whatever it is.

Talk to someone who is trained to deal with this. I'm sure people here can offer some advice, but I would suggest talking to your school counselor, if you have one, or calling a suicide hotline. Either way should put you in touch with someone with training to deal with the situation.

Party Animal...methos is so right. You have to tell someone. There may be an under lying depression with your friend that you don't know about. Someone needs to know, and you can't take on this all by yourself.

1-800-SUICIDE is the number here, I'm sure there is one where you are at. Also, go to this site http://www.girlsandboystown.org they can help you and your friend sort through this and get her some help, without telling her name or anything.

I have a question. If she is not depressed and she is doing great (according to what you are saying), what makes you say that this friend wants to commit suicide? Did she say it? How did she say it? How did she say it? Did something important happened to make her say that?
