The Grammys are on television tonight, and there's an interesting selection of nominees.
I'm looking forward to them, because Coldplay is nominated in several categories.
Despite all the controversy, I really hope Viva La Vida wins Record Of the Year.
Too bad Juno and Mamma Mia are against each other in Best Compilation Soundtrack Album. I loved both.

Anyone have any favourites?

I really hope Jimmy Sturr gets his 18th Grammy tonight. He rocks.

I had no real favorites, but did watch a little of the show. For the most part I found the live performances to be horrendous, especially Justin Timberlake, who obviously needs to stick to releasing overdubbed and enhanced studio music as he has no singing ability whatsoever.I am glad Metallica won in Metal (though there realy are no other metal acts doing anything right now) and I like Carrie Underwood continuing to rack up the honors.

I agree with you, DS. It was very disappointing. I was glad to see Coldplay pick up some awards, but even their set was weak. There had been a rumour that they'd be served with papers in the Joe Satriani plagiarism lawsuit on the night, but apparently their lawyer accepted service sometime before, to avoid that embarrassment! I wonder how Satriani felt seeing Viva la Vida win best song?
Robert Plant never won a Grammy with Led Zeppelin, but picked up 5 last night with Alison Krauss.

All the performances were mediocre, IMO, except Neil Diamond's.

Dog, I thought Justin Timberlake was da bomb. I love his singing now a lot more than in his earlier years. Jennifer Hudson almost brought tears.

I didn't have a favorite of the nominees.

I think that pregnant girl should've had on a different outfit.
