Old corny song of yesteryear. I have no idea if it has a name for the style of rhyme.

Nice poem, Frank  Hi Sarah, this style of poem is an acrostic poem. If you google acrostic+mother, you'll find many examples. Most of them are written by school children. I kind of liked these ones, they are so sincere... Room 38 Blog
