I seem to be on a bit of a vampire kick lately, but i'm really picky when it comes to books. I prefer fantasy above pretty much anything. it's seems difficult to find any vampire novles that aren't set in the "real world". I'd like to find some that are set in fantasy worlds. Anyone know of any?

So far the onlt fantasy setting I find for any recent vampire literature is high school LOL. Here is a link to a site with a list of vampire based books and they might have some info somewhere. (Link to main page is at bottom of list I believe).

Oy... I considered popping each book title into Amazon one at a time (after all... one has few e-relatives) but... that was all I had. Wink

I did some asking and someone suggested the Patricia Briggs' Mercedes Thompson series ("Moon Called" / "Blood Bound" / "Iron Kissed") which is soon to have a fourth book.

The main character is a shapeshifter, but there are werewolves and vampires aplenty.

I found the following thru a search, and it seems to fit the bill. "Vampire of the Mists" by Christie Golden ... with an elf vampire in a fantasy world. Sounds yummy, but who knows.

Yummy? I guess there's no accounting for taste. Big Grin
Kalena, it looks like DS has found some great suggestions or you already.
This isn't a genre that I know much about, but if you give me some titles and authors that you've already read, and that you particularly enjoyed, I can access a data base though the library where I work. I may be able to come up with some suggestions for further reading. There's no point in posting the link here, because it's a subsciber only site. Smile

Rupees ? Not I. That was DG. A bookseller in India, I did comment, is a long way from Utopia (Kittypal's stated location). On the other hand though , so is the Amazon and I get books from there all the time Smile

It's slew not slayed. 'Slayed' is not standard English.[Writes Fred Pulaiku, our man in the library with the magnifying-glass and the cup of Horlicks (who had a sneaky look in the OED just to make sure Wink)]
