I have read a few books by R.A. Salvatore, but every time i go to the bookstore, i see a lot of trilogies by him. With a limited amount of money, and a passion for fantasy, i am unsure if i should buy them or not. If you have read any of his books, can you please recommend some? Also, please share a little bit about the book, just in case it doesn't interest me. Thanks, Kalena ++++++++++++ 02-23-03, 04:49 PM VivienneHa Kalena,if you have a limited amount of money have you thought about joining a library, then you can try all the books you want.

02-24-03, 08:51 AM Kalena Viv, Perhaps i shouldn't have said "limited amount of money" but that i don't want to spend hundreds of dollars at once, especially since i have a habit of buying lots of books, reading a couple and then buying more. I already belong to a library, which is where i read his books before. However, my library sucks, and every time i find a book that looks good, i discover that it's part of a trilogy or series and they don't have the first one. Mad Which is so very annoying! Thanks, though.

03-10-03, 05:04 PM mattlynda for salvatore, id definatly reccomend the dark elf series. its lenghty but worth it. the series starts out with the icewind dale trillogy (the crystal shard, streams of sliver, the halflings gem). then follows a lot of books, but all worth it. (homeland, exlie, sojurn in the dark elf trilogy),the legacy, siege of darkness, passage to dawn, starless night, the silent blade and spine of the world. id reccomend buying them off amazon.com if you have a credit card. you can find them in good used condtion for about 1-5 dollars each. id buy all my books from amazon if i had a card myself (so its probably a good thing i dont have one yet) Big Grin
