Crust

2 cups of flour
1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (softeneed)
1 cup whole pecan pieces

Caramel Layer

2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup chocolate or butterscotch chips

Heat oven to 350 - In a large mixing bowl combine all crust ingredients except pecans, beat one minute at medium speed until well mixed and particles are fine (appx. 2-3 min) Press on bottom of 9x13 pan and evenly sprimkle pecan pieces over top, set aside. In a medium sacuce pan combine butter and brown sugar, cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture begins to boil, boil 1 minute while stirring. Pour mixture evenly over crust. Bake 8-12 minutes or until the caramel layer is all bubbly, remove from oven and sprinkle chips over top, allow to melt slightly and swirl chips, leaving some whole for a marble effect. Cool completely and cut into bars.
Makes about 3 dozen
