2 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 c. whole, raw cranberries

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cream
Cream butter and sugar, mix in vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Fold in cranberries. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

Sauce: Melt butter mix in sugar and cream. Simmer for 3-4 minutes. Put the sauce over the cake when ready to serve
