3 cups flour 2 cups brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 3/4 cup margarine Mix dry ingredients then blend in margarine with a pastry blender or fork. Reserve 3/4 cup of this for a topping.
2 cups buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda Combine buttermilk and baking soda, stir by hand in to dry mix, add raisins and walnuts.
