Lydia, in one of your posts you mentioned liking frosting, but not the sugary kind here is a very is two yummy, not overly sweet ones. FLUFFY WHITE, 1&1/4 cup whit corn syrup, 2 egg whites, 1 tsp vanilla, dash of salt.... Heat syrup till boiling, in a seperate bowl combine egg white, salt, vanilla beat till egg mixture is stiff, slowly pour the boiling syrup into stiff egg mixture keep beating until it is very fluffy and peaks form...frost cake, very pretty on chocolate layer cake. Keep in fridge. Chocolate Frosting.. 2 squares unsweetened chocolate broken in pieces, 1&1/4 cup of milk, 1 cur sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 4 tbsp flour, 2 tbsp butter... put milk and chocolate in a double boiler, heat until melted , while beating with wire whisk add flour, sugar cook until thick, remove from heat add butter and vanilla stir, cool in a little pan or sink of cool water, be careful it doesn't get too cool (it will be hard to spread) Frost cake. This one is vey good, almost like a fudge sause, it also needs to be whisked well when cooking, lumps sometimes occur, but still is so good. Hope you like. Big Grin

Lydia
That was really "sweet" (ah ha-ha-ha-ha - - get it big grin )

Anyway - - really thank you so much - - I think the boiled fluffy frosting recipe is one that I've been looking for - sounds familiar. My mom used to make one when we were kids that was SO good. I've tried alot of different boiled ones, but none was the right sticky one....I'm definitely going to give it a "whirl..."
