Hello,
The official code is a TRU9488, but after a power failure a few days ago, the machine has been blinking between "E4" and the UNIDEN continuosly.

The owner's manual says nothing about any E4 problems and it is still the weekend, so tech support (?) isn't open.

Has anyone and any experience and success with this problem? I am suspecting a battery issue.

Thank you!!!
kc

From " Uniden" customer support.

They said that the E4 message is an error code saying that phone is "broken beyond repair." You have to return the phone to the store that you bought it from and if they wouldnt take it to call them back and they would see what they could do about replacing it free.

If there is an error code with an E followed by a number it would be an internal issue in the base unit. Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Uniden phones that are purchased in the US or Canada are only made for use in the US or Canada. Using this phone in other countries will void the warranty and also may damage the unit due to the differences in electrical standards. Also the unit may not work as specified.

Uniden's warranty only covers purchases made for new products purchased directly from a verified retailer. Units purchased from E-bay, garage sale, etc. or companies that refurbishes phones and then sells them would not be covered under warranty. You would need to address this with the place of purchase or you may take advantage of the Out of Warranty procedure. Good Luck!
