I'm thinking of getting two young alpacas. Has anyone had any experience with them? How are they different from llamas? What are they like (behavior)? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks, Karrow. The sites are helpful. If someone has experience handling them, please let me know. I wont to know behavior clues, too, such as are they calm or nervous? Do they have a lot of health problems? Are they friendly or merely timid?
I want to get two for pets and fleece, but don't want a lot of problems. Sheep around here are prone to disease, and goats are cool but hard to handle - escape artists. That's why I became interested in alpaca. I want to use the wool to make clothing for self and family. These animals look adorable and sweet, and I would like to make pets of them also.
