Hi! I have a question about my rabbit. This post doesn't mean that I won't take my rabbit to a vet...I am just looking for some opinions. My male rabbit is about 1 yr. 9 mts. old. It is normal for him to lunge when I rearrange stuff in his cage and feed him. However, him doing that is different lately. I sense something is wrong that is making him lunge more than usual. I have the idea of an eye problem...What else could cause him to lunge so much? I am just looking for some ideas as to what could be wrong, if anything. He seems fine otherwise. I know male rabbits will lunge if they have not been neutered, but he had that done. I'm very worried. I'll probably talk to the vet about it, too. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Some rabbits are a bit possessive of their food and water bowls and or other items in their cages. If you are able to let your bunny out of its cage for some playtime and exercise; then would be a good time to refill food and water bowls etc…Or transfer him to another cage before you begin rearranging the bowls. In this way he will be distracted from what you are doing in his cage and will have less of an opportunity to lunge at you.
