Feng-shui-for-hair pioneer Billy Yamaguchi owns six salons in California and teaches feng-shui courses for stylists. Enrollment has more than doubled in the past six months. At Sullo Salon & Day Spa in Fort Lauderdale, feng-shui consultations have tripled in the past four or five months.
Clients at Yamaguchi's salons complete a questionnaire on colors, mood and lifestyle. A stylist decides which element -- fire, earth, metal, water or wood -- suits you and chooses a style to enhance, balance or harmonize. A feng-shui consultation and haircut costs between $85 and $250.
i dont understand how feng shui can be applied to hair. its about the flow of chi through your home. you are always moving and creating your own chi movement, so your hair style cant have anything to do with that. sounds like a ploy to make money off the whole feng shui fad that is happening. most people dont have the first clue about it, so wouldnt think twice about paying that much for something that dosent apply to hair.
