Sher
I did three years of brick-and-mortar college, and I'm in my second year at an online school.
IMHO, it doesn't have much to do with your demographics, but rather how you learn. I do not at all understand things if they are explained to me. I only learn by doing or by reading. So I do MUCH better online than I did in traditional college.
I also do better if I can study at my convenience, and not have to drop everything because I have to get to class
right now. In this way online is much better, too--there are due dates for things, but you don't have to be online at like 8 am to 9 am, or something like that, just have your assignment in before midnight that day.
All in all, I'd recommend online college any day, and especially the University of Phoenix (
www.universityofphoenix.com). They are a for-profit organization and they do everything in their power to keep you as a student, so they work with you on everything; as opposed to a traditional college that cares more about the football team making the playoffs than what student #1346543 needs today.
Hope this helps!
Oh, and UoP offers a Masters of Nursing, if that's what you are looking for.
