On saturday night I got a letter of acceptence from the honors program at the college that I applied to. Today my mom called up the college to see about the things I had to do. They said that I hadn't been accepted yet because they never received one of the forms. My mom then asked them, then why did she get the letter. They responded, "well, she should not have gotten that letter." I don't know now if I got it or not!!! and it is driving me crazy!!! does anyone have any tips about what I should do?
Yafa, I know you are disappointed, but don't give up. If the school is not too far away, the best thing to do is to take the letter to the school, and ask to speak to the head person. You can accomplish things so much better in person, than over the phone. If there is another form to fill out, you can do it then. A lot of times you can speak to someone on the phone that don't really know a lot about the system, and they will tell you anything.

Don't be surprised by this. Universities mis-mail stuff all the time. Last month I heard on the news that a college had mis-printed its labels so everyone who was previously rejected by the school got "welcome to our university" letters by mistake. Oops! The best thing to do is find out which form they claim they never got and then make sure they get it. Find out what you have to do to ensure your acceptance, and do it.
