Where can I find a listing of law schools? I have a book from when I was first looking at colleges, but it is WAY outdated...
And since I don't know much about law schools themselves, which are generally considered the best? Not necessarily the most popular, but the best?

you could try this site. You can get links to courts, statues & law schools in the US, Canda & Mexico.

law source

Also, if you don't know about it already you may check this site about LSAT(law school administration tests)

The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a half-day standardized test required for admission to all 200 law schools that are members of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants. The test is administered four times a year at hundreds of locations around the world.

Since I'll be graduating from high school this summer I've been doing a lot of research on colleges--but not necessarily law schools. One of the schools I was really interested in, Northwestern University (which is an all-around academically prestigious school) in Chicago, has a law school which I've heard is one of the best law programs available. Read about it here.

Hope I could have been of some assistance, and best of luck in your search!

Sorry this is such a late post. The US News and World Report publishes its ranking of law schools based on a 4 tier system. http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/law/lawindex.htm This site also boasts a list of 183 law schools.

Of course, such rankings should also be taken with a grain of salt. However, it is a good starting point.

(Northwestern is ranked #11)
