I've been wanting to know more about history, the styles and theory behind music. Where can I find such a college to have a good program? I'm in TX so most of ours promote sports and it's hard to find. Plus I can't go out of state. HELP!

Texas is a big place (I am sure that you are aware of that, FA) so it is a little difficult geographically to advise you where to start looking. However, you may find something online here which may help. Nevertheless, as I have stated elsewhere in different contexts, there is, in my opinion, no substitute for having a good private tutor to help on a one-to-one basis. Perhaps someone from your state (Hugh, are you there?!) may be able to give you more specific advice...good luck, and let us know how you get on!
PS Without knowing how much you know already, it is hard to advise you. Here is another site which appears to be fairly basic, but looks as though it may lead to more advanced things.
