I've heard that the policies for colleges about accepting SAT I scores has changed. I heard that colleges can now view how many times you've taken it and what your scores were on all of them. Do they look at all this information or just your highest scores? And how does this effect you? Thanks
Personally, I think colleges should be allowed to look at all of your scores. Otherwise they're not really getting an accurate picture of you as a student. However, I also believe there should be a format for explanation. Like, "yes, I took the SATs twice but the first time I did lousy because my grandmother died the day before" or "no, I didn't really get a great score in art history because I felt that my other courses were more important and applied myself more fully to them" etc. etc. etc. Because while the grades and scores show a lot, there's always more underneath that the colleges ought to be able to get at. Especially if you go to a school that doesn't use grades at all! -But that's a whole other topic.
