That's a hard spot to be in... Is your family supportive? Willing to help with child care some of the time, while you're working or in class? What about the father and his family? Are you recieving child support from the father? If not, have you been to court to get an order for child support? Have you looked into parenting classes and single parent support groups in your area?
You may be eligible for some forms of state assistance, food stamps, subsidised day care, help with housing and medical care but this won't be easy, Darlin'.... I'm afraid your youth is officially short circuited.

What kind of help are you looking for? There are some charities which will help with baby care while you get your eduction. If the father is not being involved, you may need some legal tips to get child support from him. Or of course you might decide to have the child adopted, and then you'd want to decide whether you want an open adoption (where you have some contact with the child later), or not.

Hello, Prom Queen, and Welcome to Answerpool.

As you can see from the posts of MrsS and Silja, we're a very caring group here and would love to help you with suggestions --- ideas that you may not have thought about or knew about. You are in tight fix; my daughter was 20 when she was in the same predictament. But she put the pieces together -- found a little apartment, a job, and a babysitter. She's now married to another guy -- has another baby and is doing quite well. (She just got a great promotion!) THERE IS HOPE! Please remember that especially when things look their worse.
Like MrsS and Silja asked before, do you have any family or friends (or the baby's father) that you could get any help with --- money, job, guidance -- someone that you can talk to?
We can help you here but we'll need more info like what state you live in -- to find out where you can some financial/legal aid. We're all pulling for you. Please write back, okay, and thanks.
