hi all.
i am at the end of the 4th month and have been doing well to keep myself well-hydrated. just within the past week i have been having acid mostly in the last afternoon and night. i can't figure out really where it's coming from, i am not really showing yet and don't quite think that it's the baby pushing on my stomache so much.
my question: is it possible that all the water i have been drinking has contributed to my acid reflux?

The water is not a contributing factor. It most likely is because of the baby. I reccomend using Tums and drinking milk when you have these problems.

There are quite a few contributing causes, here is some information.

Please do not take any meds without first consulting your doctor.

Hassia

I just answered your nasal question. Seeing as you are pregnant, please disregard the advice I left there. Having clogged sinuses is very common while you are pregnant, as is being very acid-y. I just about lived on Tums during both of my pregnancies! Neither are anything to worry about and are perfectly normal.

Hassia,
Because of your pregnancy, you might want to also have your doctor keep a close eye on your "fluid status". What that means is that one of the symptoms of Pre-Eclampsia is extra fluid in your tissues (my extreme snoring and filled sinuses was a symptom of my Pre-Eclampsia) such as legs, face, etc. Checking blood pressure and protein in your urine is other indicators.

I developed very early problems (at 5 months along), but you may not of course.. don't ever panic, just get information and check with the doctor if you are worried.
