My doctor said I am one of very few women in the world who have no pregnancy symptoms when I found I was pregnant with my first child at 6 months along, I started to feel kicking. Up until this kicking moment I had no symptoms , no sickness, no loss of menstration, no cravings, no weight gain , no pains nothing at all. My daughter was born 6 weeks later a healthy 7lbs no complications, 6 hour labour.
Second baby I was trying to have and knew I was pregnant only because I checked, other wise I had my period the entire time and had no weight gain or pain until the 7th month. My son was born a healthy 7lbs 1 oz no complications, 2 weeks over due 3 hours of labour.
3rd baby I had no period for but the entire time I was pregnant I was breastfeeding and had not yet gotten my period again after having my second child. I again didn't look pregnant and had no visible weight gain until the 7th month.
Does anyone know the name of this phenomenon? My doctor had told me 6 years ago when I had my daughter but I cannot recall.

I have been searching and searching trying to find a name for that condition. What I have discovered is that it is recognized more in the UK than in the United States. I have found a possible explanation for the condition tho. Apparently the hormone levels in pregnancy aren't high enough to prevent the lining of the womb being lost in those areas where the placenta isn't attached.

I do know if you were to ask a doctor about it here in the US they would say that bleeding during pregnancy is a medical alert and indicates placenta previa. And they also would say it was impossible to be pregnant and continue to have normal menstrual cycles. But apparently you are the exception to the rule! I imagine it is frustrating never knowing when you might be pregnant!

I don't have an answer to your problem but I would like to add that it is not that uncommon to have a period while you are pregnant that is why you see a lot of people who don't know they are pregnant until the baby starts kicking or some still have no clue until they are in labor because they continued to have a period. This happen to me with my first child I had no clue I was pregnant until my baby started kicking when I went to the doctor I was told that many will continue to have a light period through out their pregnancy and as long as the baby is ok and still thriving there is no need to worry. I don't know the name of this but I do know 3 friends who the same thing happen to them. It is really scary when you think about all substances that could have potentially harmed the pregnancy when you don't even know your pregnant. You are lucky that you didn't have to deal with morning sickness. I had it the entire pregnancy. It was awful!
