I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year now with my second child but I am finding it very difficult. My cycle is irregular so I'm never really sure on when would be the best time. My last period was April 12/02 and I didn't get it again til June 3/02. Does anyone know of any medication that can be prescribed to regulate me besides the birth control pill? Has anyone out there had the same kind of problems? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
I wonder if a ovulation kit would work for you to let you know when the best time to have intersourse would be. I am having just the opposite problem, I don't have any trouble getting pregnant, it's just that I always have a miscarriage a few weeks after finding out that I'm pregnant. I have already had 3. Hopefully we will both be going through a normal pregnancy soon.
Ashmom, I too, was irregular (after my kids I began to be regular). One way you can tell without kits whether it is your ovulation time is the characteristic of your vaginal mucuous. Your vaginal moisture changes into a very stretchy stranding kind of mucuous (This is called Spinbarkheit (sp?)). When you have a bit between your fingers it stretches and sticks when you spread your fingers apart. (This is to help the sperm along if they are introduced, help with the sperm motility). I hope that helps some. I skipped up to 6 to 9 months at a time and got pregnant in the middle of a non-period time.
Ashmom i know how you feel. My fiance and i have been trying for a while too. No luck...irregular periods. Some months i will be a few days late, some i will be a week or two late and others i won't get my period at all. It is very frustrating. I am due for my period any day now, even if i don't get it i am not getting my hopes up, i have no symptoms. I am sorry i don't have any information for you....just letting you know you are not alone. I wish you luck and pray it will be soon.. melissa (melissajoe17)
