This one might not seem like that big a deal but it is to me it is kind of concerning.
A couple days ago, when I go to sleep at night I wake up with my left arm asleep but it feels more like
when your arm is waking up like the pins and needles feeling and it doesn't stop till I sit up or something.
It takes a while to come back to normal again to.
Is this a pregnancy thing?
I dont even have to be laying on my arm for it to fall asleep.
Its only been happening at night but it is getting very annoying to not be able to sleep when I finally can at 20 weeks pregnant.
If anybody can offer an opinion or suggestion besides call the Doctor please feel free.
I am going to the Doctor tuesday the 13th but I have a feeling she wont know why either.
Whats the best why to wake your arm up if if falls asleep? I know it can be a circulation
thing but what could be causing it to happen when I lay down at night?

It could be some form of impingement syndrome, particularly if when you sleep you tuck that arm up under your head. Thoracic outlet syndrome is a possibility. There are ways to test for it: but if it only occurs at nite, the first thing is to see if there's a way to keep that arm down. click here for for info on Thoracic Øutlet Syndrome.

Sherry read my above reply. I also had a hip that bother me too. I had to sleep with a pillow between my legs. My next PG was better. But I was seeing a chiropractor then. So that could be why. It drove me nuts when my arm was asleep. Towards the end it kept me awake alot. But hugging the pillow did help. It kind of proped my arm up so it got good blood flow and I wasn't compressing anything. Good Luck.
