Ok I watched that pregnancy for dummies and on that show for the test they gave the woman a sweet drink then an hour later they took her blood.
I was wondering if everybody does that or if you just go give your blood after fasting all night long.
I dont know how I am going to do this because if
I dont eat when I wake up I feel like throwing up.
Thank you

When I had tests done for diabetes, it was after fasting both times.
If your tests show that you may in fact be diabetic, you may have to eat or drink something and then test again. Good luck, PB

Generally any blood test will require you to fast before hand. If you can't do that, there's no point in getting the blood test because the results will not be accurate if you've eaten.

The sweet drink sherry refers to Is called a GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST.
After you drink this they will take blood samples at given points over a couple of hours, to see how fast your blood sugar reduces.
When I had this done my blood sugar remained quite high.
I have been Diabetic for well over 20 years.
