I have been approved for Food Stamps and Medical Assistance starting in February.
We have been TURNED DOWN for Unemployment Compensation help as I CANNOT work and you can't get help if you can't work... which makes no sense to me at all.
I WILL be eligible for WICstarting the month of February for both Jaden and me.
I finally got all the paperwork together for SSI for the boys. And, not knowing for sure of course, I am FAIRLY sure we will get a SLIGHT increase in at least Sylvan's monthly benefits for the duration that I am not working during my Maternity Leave.
Of course, once I start working again, and starting getting paychecks again, all the assistance goes away, which is totally okay. I just wanted enough help to make it through the dry spell, not gouge the system.
We have a small amount of cash in savings, so this assistance will be a life saver for us.
So, that is the current news.
Sorry for all the drama and agony over the last few months. It has been a very rough emotional time this last year and into this year.

What this means is that I can get food and formula for myself and Jaden while we are at nutritional risk related to my lower (read NON-income) status at the moment.
This has been a worry for me since I am not sure I can breast feed Jaden. I had a surgical breast reduction in 1989 and am not sure if I will be able to either breast feed or provide a volume she needs without supplemental help.
Baby Formula, here, is extremely expensive.

Yes, Jaden was born on 1/24/07 at 12:33pm. She was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19 inches long.
She is having a few issues with Jaundice and is home but using a Biliblanket. This is a very cumbersome device but it DOES allow her to be at home. Before, phototherapy used to only be able to be done in hospital with enormous lights, etc.
At any rate, we are doing well and I thank all who were following this "Saga" for their support and thoughts and prayers.
