Some of you have noticed and commented on the increased traffic in AP the last two weeks or so. So far, we have gained 48 members in the last 30 days, with 34 of those coming in the first 11 days of March. This is good. This means more questions to answer, more information to be shared, and a wider viewpoint to be discussed. My guess is that AnswerPool is about a year away from being able to pay its own way via small ads, based on traffic. However, there is a downside. The increased traffic also means increased server fees. With just the little bit of increased activity we had in February, the monthly fee more than doubled. I expect the fee for March's usage to be more than twice what last month's was. Administration is looking for a solution to the higher fees, but until that solution is found, I ask that those who use and appreciate AnswerPool to donate a small amount to help pay these increased costs.

There is a PayPal ad near the top of each page. Those wanting to donate, but not wanting to use Paypal, can e-mail me using DorianGreyedATgmail.com, and I will send them my home address, where a check or money order can be sent.

Please do not think that this is a "Donate or Lose AP" post. It isn't. The AnswerPool bill is the second one I pay each month, (The first is the house payment.) and barring the unforeseen, I will not have a problem. All I am doing is anticipating the costs of the increased traffic.
