Actually, people CAN get into trouble by eating poppy seeds right before a drug test!
"The seeds themselves contain little or no opiates, however, the sticky resin that surrounds the seeds in the pod contains high concentrations of Morphine and some Codeine. Depending on the thoroughness of the washing used to remove the resin, some of this coating remains on the seeds."
TIE once again nailed it on the head! In fact, if you have to have a drug test for work often times there is a list of items not to consume before a test as to not have a false positive. Even eating a bagle with a sprinkling of poppy seeds can mess up a test. And you do know that cough syrups and breath sprays can register alcohol should you ever be tested for alcohol in the bloodstream!
