Is there a name for the kinds of melons that have smooth rinds and a name for the kinds of melons that have rough/bumpy textured rinds ?

You can bet that every common form of natural food has its own name. Muskmelons, persian, or netted melons (Cuucumis melo reticulatus)all have a netted rind. Cantaloupes (C. m. cantalupensis) has a rough skin. Casabas (C. m. inordorus) have a wrinkled skin. Honeydews and princes, also C. m. inordorus, have a smooth skin, as do water melons (Citrullus lanatus) But there are no terms that designate just the smooth-skinned melons or just the rough-skinned melons.
