Is 10 years old kind of early for a boy to develop underarm body odor, whereas he needs to wear deodorant?

Absolutely not, Honi....and I raised TWO of the stinkly lil' creatures!

Buy the boy some deodorant.

Seriously, kids mature physically SO much younger than when we were kids. It's not unusual at all.

He is starting puberty.

I bought my son a great book called
Whats Happening to My Body? Book for Boys : A Growing Up Guide for Parents and Sons

My son read it over and over again. It will give your son answers to questions he is too embarrassed to ask or questions he never thought about asking. You can buy it anywhere.

This website may be also be helpful(things to expect)

I've found that the new alcohol hand cleaning gels do a great job of getting rid of under arm stink in young men and others. It kills off the bacteria which stink. The other thing that really gets em smelling better is the discovery of girls! They start to take showers without being told.

I had that problem with my son. We solved the problem completely by putting him on "odor free garlic" tablets and "zinc". It has been working for 7 years now.
