How could I solve a problem such as
(Xsqaured - 4X + 5)squared - 2(Xsquared - 4Xsquared + 5) + 1 = 0?

First work out (Xsqaured - 4X + 5)squared.

Then do -2(Xsquared - 4Xsquared + 5).

Then replace the new expressions in the original problem.

Combine like terms. Now treat it as a basic algebra problem.
