i'm drawing a blank....

find the range of each given the domain:

f(x)= 3x+2 d=(-2,0,2)

f(x)= 2x(sq)'d -1 d=(5,1,-4)

f(t)= t(sq)'d +4t/t-6 d=(4,0,-4)

thanks

danny

Sorry for the delay.

The domain consists of the x values (or, for the last, t values) and the range consists of the corresponding y values (or, in this case, f(x) values for the first two and f(t) for the last). Insert the x values into the equations and solve for f(x).

The first one:

f(x)=3x+2 for domain {-2,0,2}

f(-2) = 3(-2)+2 = -6+2 = -4
f(0) = 3(0)+2 = 0+2 = 2
f(2) = 3(2)+2 = 6+2 = 8

so the range is {-4,2,8}

With that as guidance, hopefully you can do the other two yourself.
