I am helping someone build a science project, and I need to know if there is a construction chemical that can be used to seal a poster to glass. That is a paper poster on a glass surface. The poster needs to be visible so I want to seal the picture face down on the glass, but the back side needs to be protected. The project will be left outdoors so I was wondering if there was a sealant that could protect the poster from rain or practically dry as a permanent hard shield around the original glass. Please let me know if you know of such a product.

thanks,
I3enny

Also what is that chemical called that expands once mixed with water to form a good pressure seal?

Sure, I can do that and one better, a clear (pourable) epoxy resin. I have used this material to make "glass" bricks with items in them such as a leaf. The material dries to a clear hard water tight solid block, or ball or pane or what ever mold you pour it in.

http://www.shopmaninc.com/kk121.html is a good link to look at. I believe that hobby/craft stores carry it as well.

Expanding foam is usually polyurathane: heres an interesting link: http://www.fomofoam.com/
